Hokule’a’s crew finds themselves in the Eastern Tropical Pacific Seascape (ETPS).

World Heritage sites are wahi pana, or sacred places around the world that are considered to be of outstanding value to humanity, based on their cultural and natural heritage.  Since 1972, UNESCO has designated over 1,000 World Heritage Sites.
