Don’t let your toys sit on a shelf, let them go outside and play…

This is a 1960s Johnny West “Flame” in palomino, with a 12″ Legolas aboard. Leggy is nicely articulated, Flame isn’t, but is a nice accurate horse design and galloping correctly in a right lead.

The special effects are not always as cooperative as you’d like, and Leggy ended up in the surf.

Here’s how you do it: just fling a cup of water at the right time while your camera (preferably on a small tripod) is on something like my sport continuous mode (where you take a series of quick shots, like a short video clip, in a few seconds).

You can see the progression of the wave in the background too.
